Maya and other options besides GCash
GCash is popular, but it is not the only way to move money. If your GCash is limited, if a deposit failed, or if you simply prefer another app, Maya and bank transfers may also be offered in a casino's cashier. The basics are the same everywhere: start from the casino's own cashier, use a wallet or account in your own name, and keep proof of every payment.
This page covers Maya, bank transfer basics, and the rules that apply to every method. If you use GCash, also read GCash cash-in in 2026.
Remember the August 2025 change
In August 2025 the BSP removed casino shortcuts from the GCash and Maya apps. That means you should not expect to find a casino tile or "play" button inside your Maya app. If someone tells you to deposit from such a shortcut, or to look for one, treat it as suspicious. The usual path now begins at the casino's cashier. Read the background in BSP rules explained.
Using Maya
How a Maya deposit usually works
- Log in to the casino site yourself, using an address you have verified.
- Complete identity verification if you have not already.
- Open the cashier and choose Maya, if it is listed as a payment method.
- Enter the amount and follow the instructions the cashier displays.
- Pay only to the account or merchant the cashier shows you.
- Screenshot the cashier page, the Maya receipt and the reference number.
- Check the transaction history in the casino before you do anything else.
Name matching with Maya
Just like GCash, the name on your Maya account should match the name on your verified casino account and your government ID. Fix any spelling or middle-name differences before you deposit. The full explanation is in our name mismatch guide, and the same logic applies to Maya.
Withdrawing to Maya
When you withdraw, double-check that you entered the correct Maya number, and that the account is active and verified in the Maya app. If the status stays pending, follow the same triage steps as for GCash: verification, name match, bonus turnover, reference number. See the stuck withdrawal checklist.
Bank transfer basics
Some casinos offer bank transfer or online banking for deposits and withdrawals. It can feel slower or more formal, but the safety logic is clear:
- Use the details the cashier shows. A genuine cashier displays the beneficiary and instructions on its own page. A chat message with a new bank account is not the cashier.
- Check the account name. If the account name on the instructions looks like a random individual rather than a business or the name the cashier displays, pause and ask support in writing.
- Your bank account must be in your name. A withdrawal to someone else's account is a common cause of rejection.
- Save your transfer receipt. Keep the reference number, date, amount and screenshot.
- Use the memo or reference field only if the cashier asks you to, and enter exactly what it says.
- Be patient but organized. Bank processing is outside the casino's control. If something is not credited, send support your receipt and ask what they see on their side.
Compare your options
| Method | Start from | Must match | Keep as proof |
|---|---|---|---|
| GCash | Casino cashier | Your name on casino and wallet | Receipt and reference number |
| Maya | Casino cashier | Your name on casino and wallet | Receipt and reference number |
| Bank transfer | Casino cashier | Your name on casino and bank account | Transfer receipt and reference |
Rules that apply to every method
- Cashier first. Never start a payment from a chat, a post, or a link sent by a stranger.
- Never pay a personal number. No e-wallet or bank account of an individual is a real deposit address just because someone says so.
- Your own name, always. One identity across ID, casino account, and payment account.
- No OTP or MPIN sharing. Neither Maya, a bank, nor a casino needs these from you in a chat.
- No upfront fees to release winnings. That is a scam pattern. See fake casino sites.
- Verify the brand. If a casino says it is PAGCOR-licensed, verify it yourself on pagcor.ph. Our PAGCOR check guide shows how.
Which one should you choose?
There is no single best answer. Choose the method that:
- Is listed inside the casino's cashier, not offered through a chat.
- Is registered in your own name and fully verified.
- Shows clear amounts, fees and instructions before you confirm.
- Gives you a receipt you can save.
If one method fails, do not try to pay through a "backup" number someone gives you. Contact official support and wait for clear instructions.
